My name is Valerie Kirby, and I am from Spartanburg, SC. I graduated in 2025 with a Master’s in Human Services Counseling. I have been an early interventionist for 4 years and previously served in roles as a social worker and preschool teacher. I chose About Play for the opportunity to grow in my professional role. I love traveling on the weekends to explore new towns, reading thriller books, playing my guitar, and spending time with my favorite people (including my dog). I am excited to continue growing in the field of early intervention. It is the most rewarding career I’ve pursued, and I can’t wait to continue serving children and their families.
