Hi there! My name is Kendra Lamar and I was born in Laurel, Mississippi and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia State University in 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. In my free time I love dancing, reading, listening to music, and exploring Greenville with my daughter, Maisley, and husband Mark. I’ve also recently discovered a new love for all things Marvel!
I’ve worked with children since the day after I graduated high school in 2014. I’ve had the opportunity to be a preschool teacher, camp counselor, and a nanny to several families. Through these roles I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience that I am super excited to share and build upon with my newest family, About Play!
I found About Play through looking for jobs as an Early Interventionist in my area. Their goal to improve outcomes of children through play really resonates with me as I am a firm believer that so much can be achieved through engaging play! I am most excited to collaborate with families, offer encouragement, and see some sweet little smiles! What better way to learn and grow than doing it through what childhood is all about?
