Hi there! My name is Kendra Lamar and I was born in Laurel, Mississippi and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. I graduated from Georgia State University in 2020 with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. In my free time I love dancing, reading, listening to music, and exploring Greenville with my daughter, Maisley, and husband Mark. I’ve also recently discovered a new love for all things Marvel!
I’ve worked with children since the day after I graduated high school in 2014. I’ve had the opportunity to be a preschool teacher, camp counselor, and a nanny to several families. Through these roles I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience that I am super excited to share and build upon with my newest family, About Play!
I found About Play through looking for jobs as an Early Interventionist in my area. Their goal to improve outcomes of children through play really resonates with me as I am a firm believer that so much can be achieved through engaging play! I am most excited to collaborate with families, offer encouragement, and see some sweet little smiles! What better way to learn and grow than doing it through what childhood is all about? Let’s PLAY!
