Hello there! My name is Kaitlyn Mundy. I was born and raised in Charleston SC. I graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Science in Educational Studies. I am thrilled to return to my hometown and become the support, voice, and advocate for all the families I will encounter. I became very passionate about helping the individual needs of children when I initially started my career as a teacher. Through that process, I felt that I wasn’t needed in the classroom, but to impact the lives of children through Early Intervention. I believe that relationships are essential to helping families as well as helping the individual needs of the children. By having that emotional connection with the kids as well as the family, the limits are endless as to what can be achieved. I actually found About Play while taking a final exam in a Starbucks up in Rock Hill! I came across some employees having a meeting, after some conversations and further research into this program, I instantly knew this was the right place for me! When I am not helping children and families, I love to travel, sing, tend to my garden or watch my never ending Movie/TV show list.
