Hello, I’m Jessica Scott. I am originally from a small town called Garysburg, N.C. I graduated from Fayetteville State University where I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Social Work. After deciding to further my education, I obtained my Masters in Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Strayer University. I began my professional career as a Preschool/ Pre-K teacher in both daycare and private school settings. This is when my love for working with children surfaced!
I am a boy mom. I have three boys that I love dearly. Whenever I do have spare time, I like to watch TV, read, cook, walk the beach and most of all travel.
I’ve been a resident of Myrtle Beach for over 5 years. It has been fun and exciting living so close to the beach.
I found About Play while doing some searching on the web. After I applied for the EI position, I was extremely excited after talking with the supervisors during my interview. I felt a sense of family within the company which makes me the most happy. I was ready to take a leap of faith and do something outside of the classroom. This company has shown me though the hiring process that EI is just as rewarding. I am excited to be able to work one on one with a child and leave my imprint on their life in a positive way.
