Hello, my name is Javeria Brown and I get to call the beautiful Lowcountry my home. Before moving to Beaufort, I resided in Gainesville, Florida. I received my Bachelors in Child and Family Studies at Benedict College in Columbia SC. I have been a preschool teacher for the last ten years and I just loved teaching preschoolers because there’s nothing quite like seeing the world through their eyes. In the classroom, I often found myself drawn to helping the children who needed a bit of extra support, whether it was with communication, behavior, or social-emotional skills. I loved finding creative ways to meet their unique needs and working with their families to help them thrive. This led me to About Play, after reading about what they offer and who they serve I became interested and applied. What I think I would LOVE about the job is making connections and watching children grow and develop. I would love to look at the opportunity to make a real, lasting impact during such a critical time in a child’s development.
Some of my hobbies include spending time with my family and opening a good book and reading.
