My name is Jannerra Scott and I joined the About Play team in 2018. I graduated from South Carolina State with a Bachelors in Family Consumer Science with a concentration in Child Development. Previously, I have worked with children in childcare and in the ABA therapy field. When I discovered Early Intervention, I knew it was the career for me! Who doesn’t want to spend time having fun and playing? I am able to build relationships with parents and children. Teaching children is like planting a seed, nurturing it, and watching it grow. I love working with children and I feel so fortunate to be a part of the team here at About Play.

I love being an EI. It’s an awesome experience to assist families in bridging gaps in their child’s developmental milestones. Over the six years with About Play, I have learned to be coachable. Being an EI, you are always learning and growing. There is limitless information and resources to help children and their families. You grow as a person and professional in order to shine your light and help others shine their light to be the best they can be.

I am from Charleston, SC, and in my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, bowling, and listening to music.
