Hi, my name is Courtney Smith. I was born and raised in Hampton, VA. I attended Old Dominion University where I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Education. Previously, I taught in the public school system for 7 years. I have taught 3rd grade, Pre-K, 1st grade, and Kindergarten. I also have experience with working with infants and toddlers. Not only am I an “edu-carer”, but I am also a wife and a mom. I have had the pleasure of being a wife since 2011 and my husband and I are the proud parents of 3 boys and 2 girls. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I am so excited to be apart of the About Play family. Their mission to help children reach developmental milestones through play aligns with my passion of helping children reach their maximum potential. Each day I will strive to build strong, motivating, empowering, and positive relationships with my families as we work together to make difference in the lives our children.
