Hello! My name is Ashley Ray. I graduated from Anderson University in Anderson, SC in 2008 with my Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood/ Elementary Education. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to work with kids. I taught 1st grade for two years and moved away from the public school system. My most recent job was at Arthrex Academy working as a preschool and toddler teacher. While working there, I met with an Early Interventionist, who currently works for About Play. She visited one of my students weekly. After listening to all the wonderful things that she had to say about About Play, I decided that becoming an Early Interventionist was something that I wanted to do. I am so excited to start this new journey and be able to work one on one with children and their families. I think the best part about this job is going to be the ability to watch children meet new milestones and knowing that I was a part of that success! I also have two daughters who stay very busy with travel volleyball and the flexibility in my schedule will allow me to be there for their tournaments and be a present mom.
