Hello! My name is Ashley Newlin, and I’m originally from a small town just outside of Detroit, Michigan. A few years ago, my family and I made the move to Lancaster, South Carolina, and it has truly been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made and we love it here!
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from Central Michigan University, along with dual minors in Psychology and Substance Abuse. My education, paired with my hands-on experience, has helped shape my passion for supporting children and families in meaningful ways.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked in a variety of child care settings, and I’ve always been drawn to roles where I can build strong connections with children while supporting their growth and development. Most recently, my time as an infant teacher inspired me to take the next step in my career and pursue Early Intervention. I was able to see firsthand how support early on is helping children reach developmental milestones and also strengthen their confidence.
I’m excited for the opportunity to work with About Play and to be part of a team that makes such a lasting impact on children and families.
When I’m not working, I love spending time traveling with my husband and daughter, keeping up with our two energetic Golden Retrievers, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen!
