Hello! My name is Ashley Barnett. I am from Charlotte, North Carolina originally but I moved to Columbia, SC for college. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology from Columbia College. I then went on to get my Master’s of Science in Child and Developmental Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. I learned about Early Intervention in my previous job as a preschool teacher. This profession blends my passion of working with young children and my desire to work in the field of developmental psychology. I’m going to love getting to know the families and building relationships with my families as I work with their children to be the best they can possibly be! I’m most excited to join the About Play family!
I am a wife and a mother to two wonderful children. I have a 5 year old son and a 1 year old daughter. On the weekends, I love spending time with my kids, reading, playing with my two dogs, and doing anything that involves being outside. My favorite place in the world is Hilton Head Island and we try to go at least twice every year. One day I hope to live on the island!
