Hello everyone! My name is Kiara Gamble. I grew up in the small-town of Aiken, South Carolina before heading to College of Charleston; it was there that I received a Bachelor’s in Psychology. Since graduating, I have had the opportunity to work in a variety of fields as a Registered Behavior Technician, Therapeutic Assistant, and even as an Educator! Though these may seem like different career areas, I find that they all have the common thread of aiming to promote personal growth and development.
Early on, it became apparent to me that my passion is working with children who may have emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. I feel that it is important to provide services for not only the children, but their families as well–doing so has the potential to change a life’s trajectory. While in college, I’d heard of About Play and the wonderful things that they do. A few years later, I now find myself being a part of a company that I admire with a mission I wholeheartedly support. I am so excited to be a part of something bigger than myself–something that has the ability to change many lives.
When I’m not working, I love spending time with friends, reading a good book, thrifting, or enjoying some live music! These little things allow my ‘cup’ to be filled with joy and ready to pour into others!
