Hi everyone! My name is Amelia Cornwell and I moved to Mount Pleasant after 3 and a half years studying at The University of South Carolina. I obtained my degree in Psychology while also minoring in Counseling Education, focusing my classes towards working with children. From a young age, I had always felt a passion for working with kids and families. I knew I wanted to make a career out of it. I found About Play while completing a job search and it felt like all the puzzle pieces had come together. An instant connection was created and I knew this would be the rewarding experience I had been looking for.
Ever since college I had always wanted to live with my sister again, and now we’re roommates in the city that we love! Spending time with friends and family is one of my favorite things to do, especially out on Fripp Island where my parents live. I enjoy going on walks, looking for shells, and painting with my mom! There is a long list of things I love, but one that will always remain is my love of working with kids. It never fails to put a smile on my face, and I’ll always strive to do that for others!
