Hi! My name is Alandria Haynes. I was born in Killeen, Texas but raised in Columbia, SC. I graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate with a Bachelor’s of Child Development and Family Studies. While I was in college I worked at an early childcare development center. Then after graduating I become an Assistant 4k Preschool Teacher. I also served at New Springs Church Children Ministry working with early-age children. Before About Play, I worked as an EI for 1 ½ year serving in Spartanburg area.
My interest and hobbies vary as I love singing in the Choir at forwarding City, creating dance moves with my friends and family, and watching Disney movies. I decided to move back to Columbia to be closer to friends and family. The reason why About Play stood out to me is because of the values that they express which represent mine as well. They hold a standard for advocating for children and families, which I am very passionate about. What I believe I will LOVE about my job and family is just pouring into them. Knowing that our job is to help children and families and I know my calling is to help families in any way I need to. That is why I love being an Early Interventionist.
