Apple Tree Sorting

Use this fun and easy method to help your little ones learn colors using hand-eye coordination with joint attention

Materials:

  • Brown, green, red and yellow construction paper
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Fruit Loops

First, draw and cut three rectangles out of the brown construction paper for the tree trunks. Next, draw and cut a large circle out of the red, green, and yellow construction paper for the tree tops.  The children will glue the circles onto the rectangles to create the trees.

After the glue dries, put the trees in a row in front of the children and fill a small bowl with Fruit Loops. Instead of cereal, you can also use pom poms, paper circles, or bingo chips.
