Child Spotlight

Extra-Mile Award
Kadie began her journey as a trainer in August 2020 and Kadie has made amazing progress and strides in her role since. Kadie is hardworking, creative, and loved by many families. Kadie lives in the Upstate area, but has been assisting EIs in areas all of the state with a smile and upbeat attitude, which is why I have nominated her for going that extra mile. Thank you, Kadie for all that you do!!

Drive-In Movie Night
Join us for a drive-in movie night at Saluda Shoals Park featuring the Croods- A New Age. The movie begins at dark (8:00 p.m.) Food Trucks will have food for purchase from 6:00-8:00 p.m

Movie attendees are asked to remain in their vehicles during the movie. Enter at the east entrance of Saluda Shoals Park located at 6071 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29212





Tubes & Easter Eggs
This fun activity is great for developing hand eye coordination and problem solving.
Materials:
- Cardboard tubes (various sizes)
- Plastic Easter Eggs
First, Grab your cardboard tubes and plastic Easter eggs. Then stand the cardboard tube up straight and balance an Easter egg on top. Demonstrate this to your toddler or preschooler then have them try to do it.

9-12 Month Milestones
Social and Emotional
- Favorite games to play “peek-a-boo” and “hiding”
- Smile and babble
- May be afraid of strangers
Language/Communication
- Uses fingers to point at things
- Understands “no”

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, early childhood, social work, psychology, sociology, family & consumer science, or any related field
- At least one year of experience working with children birth to six years old
